Hajt ol-Eslam Ghasem Ravanbakhsh, the representative of Qom people in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, emphasized during an interview with a reporter from the Rasa News Agency on the sidelines of the Palestinian day march: “For Iranians, the issue of Palestine is not only a matter of belief and ideology but is rooted in religious and spiritual beliefs.”
He pointed out that, due to their deep-seated beliefs, Iranians regard Palestine and Jerusalem as symbols of Islam. “The liberation of Palestine and the return of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, the first qibla of Muslims, has special importance,” he stated, noting that the declaration of the last Friday of Ramadan as the Palestinian Day by Imam Khomeini (RIP) underscores this religious and spiritual commitment.
Ravanbakhsh further emphasized that this movement, like the rituals of Muharram and Ashura, will never grow old and will remain vibrant and dynamic. “Support for the Palestinian cause will continue until the complete liberation of Jerusalem, and the people of Iran continue to be the flagbearers of this movement,” he affirmed.
The representative of Qom in the parliament also highlighted that, by the grace of God, even in non-Islamic countries, including American and European universities, groups are joining this uprising of Muslims. “Despite the heavy costs, this solidarity between Muslims and non-Muslims in support of Palestine is on the rise,” he concluded.
