according to a report by Shahrara News, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani is scheduled to meet with Putin to discuss ways to strengthen and expand bilateral relations in various fields, as well as important regional and international issues of mutual interest.

On Thursday, Seyed Abbas Araqchi, the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, embarked on a diplomatic mission to Moscow at the head of a diplomatic delegation. This visit is for consultations and dialogue with senior Russian officials and to deliver a written message from the Supreme Leader to the President of Russia.

Esmail Baghaei, the spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced this news, stating that the trip is planned based on an invitation from Sergey Lavrov, the Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation, as part of the ongoing consultations and dialogue between the two strategic partners.

Baghaei added that during this visit, Araqchi will discuss bilateral relations, regional and international developments, and recent indirect negotiations with the United States with Russian officials.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson also considered this visit as a valuable opportunity to follow up on the implementation of agreements between the two countries, especially the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperation Treaty between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation.

The Kremlin spokesman described the visit of the Emir of Qatar as very significant, noting that the two leaders will hold serious talks on a wide range of issues and sign various agreements. Dimitry Peskov told reporters that Qatar’s role in many regional and even global affairs cannot be overlooked. He added that Qatar is a good partner, and relations between Russia and Qatar are dynamic and developing, with frequent communication between the leaders of the two countries.

Qatar has made various efforts to mediate between Russia and Ukraine and has helped return children separated from their parents during the war. Russia and Qatar have announced this week that the leaders of the two countries will discuss efforts to reach a peace agreement to end the war in Ukraine.

Donald Trump, the US President, has repeatedly stated his desire to end what he calls the bloodbath in Ukraine, but has not yet achieved any progress. Moscow has stated that reaching an agreement on the final solution to end the war is not easy.

Mohamed Al Khalifa, Qatar’s Foreign Minister Adviser, told the Russian TASS news agency that the Emir of Qatar’s talks with Putin will focus on Ukraine, Syria, Gaza, and issues such as liquefied natural gas (LNG).

Earlier, Russia and Ukraine, with the mediation of Qatar, exchanged 9 children to return them to their families, with 7 children being delivered to Kyiv and 2 to Moscow.

On February 21, 2022 (February 10, 1400), the President of Russia, criticizing the West’s lack of attention to Moscow’s security concerns, officially recognized the independence of the People’s Republics of Donetsk and Luhansk in the Donbas region. Three days later, on February 24 (February 13, 1400), Vladimir Putin launched a military operation, which he called a “special operation,” against Ukraine, turning the tense Moscow-Kyiv relations into a military conflict.

In response to this Russian move, the United States and Western countries have imposed extensive sanctions against Moscow and have sent billions of dollars in military aid to Kyiv.
