He received detailed briefings on the latest achievements, capabilities, and products of knowledge-based and technological companies active in the zones, including sectors such as nanotechnology, energy management systems, cybersecurity, pharmaceuticals, electronics, electrical industry, technical and engineering services, medical equipment, bone grafting, and industrial and mining machinery.
Following this visit, the first vice president also toured the permanent exhibition of medical equipment and became familiar with the capabilities of Iranian domestic production companies in manufacturing various medical and operating room equipment.
Aref, noting the capabilities of knowledge-based companies in producing and exporting advanced technology products in line with the latest global advancements, issued necessary instructions to address their issues and challenges.
Furthermore, during this visit, the first vice president emphasized the role of knowledge-based companies in achieving the annual slogan, highlighting the significant steps taken by the Pardis Technology Park toward national independence, self-reliance, and self-sufficiency. The focus on investment for production and the key role of the Iran International Innovation Zone in achieving the annual slogan were also highlighted, particularly in the development of hardware, software, and advanced technologies, with Iran playing a leading role in software and the export of technical and engineering services.
Aref stated that during the board of trustees meeting of the Iran International Innovation Zone, specific tasks and plans for operationalizing the annual slogan would be defined to move more decisively toward the regional market, with the government’s vision targeting a 300 million population market in the region.
He further stressed that supporting scientific institutions and especially the private sector is the strategy of the fourteenth government, adding that today’s visit demonstrated the capabilities and dynamism of private sector companies, which will be leveraged for national self-reliance and regional market expansion.
Regarding support for the industrial sector of knowledge-based companies, Aref emphasized that supporting industry and the activities of knowledge-based and innovative companies is the government’s responsibility, and achieving the annual slogan is a priority for the government, to be detailed in future government meetings.
Aref noted that attention to advanced technologies is a strategic priority, and while there is a lag in classical technologies, efforts are needed to catch up. However, in high-tech and advanced technologies, the country can be at the forefront, as seen in the fields of nanotechnology and information technology, with promising achievements expected in artificial intelligence.
Prior to visiting the exhibition, Aref honored the unknown martyrs by laying a wreath and reciting the Quran at their mausoleum, paying tribute to the esteemed martyrs of the eight-year Sacred Defense.
