محمدرضا احمدی سنگری، نماینده رشت در مجلس شورای اسلامی، در یک سخنرانی به مسائل مختلف مربوط به حمله اسرائیل به ایران اشاره کرد. وی با بیان اینکه آنچهafter the aggression of the Zionist regime, supported by the United States, against our country, was not a ceasefire, but a temporary halt in the enemy’s offensive, stated: “Since they started the war, we delivered the final blow and targeted every part of Israel. We remain steadfast, and if the enemy makes a move, our commanders are ready to crush them once again.”
Ahmadi Sangi emphasized that the Zionist enemy did not achieve any of its goals in its criminal attack on our sacred land, calling it a major defeat for Israel and the United States, as well as their supporters. He noted that to better understand the situation, one must examine the reasons and objectives behind the assault by this child-killing and occupying regime on Iranian soil and determine whether they were successful.
The representative of Rasht highlighted that during this criminal attack, the Zionist enemy, with the covert hand of the United States, pursued several objectives: firstly, to destroy Iran’s nuclear industry; secondly, to reduce the range of our missiles and dismantle our missile industry; and thirdly, to eliminate the resistance front. The enemy believed that by physically removing the leaders of the resistance, the front would no longer exist, and that there were internal economic and livelihood-related disputes in Iran, leading to the conclusion that they should take direct action against Iran.
Continuing, he stated: “The Israelis, supported by the United States, pursued several strategic goals in Iran; first, by targeting high-ranking officials, they aimed to leave the country leaderless and create chaos; second, by relying on their hired agents, they sought to create unrest inside the country and overthrow the government, ultimately leading to the disintegration of Iran. However, during these 12 days of imposed war, they realized their miscalculations.”
Ahmadi Sangi further explained: “The Zionist enemy, whose existence is based on terrorism, began by assassinating military commanders, nuclear scientists, and other compatriots, taking some of our prominent military and scientific figures in the earliest moments. They thought the job was done, but this situation only lasted 12 hours. With the replacement and appointment of new commanders, we were back on track. One of the key factors in our victory was the wise leadership of the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, who immediately appointed new commanders.”
He added: “Contrary to the enemy’s mistaken calculations, less than 24 hours later, we launched an operation with 300 drones and 150 ballistic missiles on enemy territory, which caught them off guard. The enemy, with their calculations, did not expect this to happen.”
Addressing the Zionist enemy’s misunderstanding of the Iranian people, the representative of Rasht said: “They thought the Iranian people would support them and come out to the streets; even Netanyahu addressed the Iranian people, saying we have opened the corridor and done our part; now it’s up to you to come out. However, the opposite happened. Israel thought Iran was like Gaza, Lebanon, or Palestine, where they could strike and retreat, but Iran’s power in response showed that they would not have the courage to do so in our territory.”
Ahmadi Sangi stated: “The people performed a great service during this attack on our country, and a significant event took place. Even those who had criticisms or were, so to speak, dissatisfied with the Islamic Republic, stood in line against Israel. The enemy’s calculations in this regard were entirely reversed, as even those who intended to revolt against the system joined the front against the cancerous and child-killing regime of Israel. This was a defeat for them.”
He further stated: “The Israelis, with the belief that they could bring us to our knees, initiated a military attack on Iran, but did not expect us to precisely target their military and energy infrastructure in their own territory. We made Israel like Gaza; to the extent that the people of the occupying regime, who had occupied Palestinian land, lined up to leave the borders. According to the announcements of their officials and media, many Zionist settlers fled from the Rafah border to Egypt and from the maritime borders to Cyprus. Netanyahu and his officials even announced that the people did not have the right to leave the country, making this another shameful defeat for them.”
Referring to the collapse of the myth of the impenetrable Israeli defense in the face of Iranian missiles, he said: “In this battle, we saw that the Israeli air defenses and the Iron Dome, which they had boasted about so much, not only failed to intercept our missiles, but sometimes even hit themselves. Iranian ballistic and hypersonic missiles Sajjl and Fateh penetrated the seven layers of Israeli defenses and struck wherever they wanted in occupied Palestine, causing the enemy to retreat and bolstering our power.”
Ahmadi Sangi concluded: “The war that the Zionist enemy initiated to bring Iran to its knees ended with their request for a halt after 12 days. To understand who won this 12-day battle, we must see if the enemy, who started the war, achieved their goals. Did they manage to destroy our nuclear energy or missile industry? Did they succeed in causing an uprising inside the country? Absolutely not. Not only did they fail internally, but even Iranian expatriates acted in our favor and we see that in opposition networks like BBC and others, everyone is against Israel and in support of our flag. Israel and the United States wanted to weaken our flag, but outside the country, not only Iranians but also people in Canada, the United States, Pakistan, Yemen, Iraq, and elsewhere raised the flag of the Islamic Republic, demonstrating the power of the Islamic Republic and our unity.”
